Coach Training

991 NRA level 1 shotgun coaches trained*

National Shotgun Coach Development Staff members Mark and Sally Stevens will hold 3 coach education classes in 2024. The NRA coach education program is a 16-hour session comprised of 12 classroom hours and 4 field hours, and a comprehensive 80 question test, all completed within one very full weekend. After completing the course, passing the test and upon the recommendation of the instructors, successful candidates are considered NRA Shotgun Coaches, Level I.  Youth shooters 15-17 are invited to complete the same program and will receive the NRA Junior Trainer designation until they reach the age of 18, when they become NRA Shotgun Coaches, Level I.

* as of 3/24/2024; trained by Mark & Sally Stevens, NRA/USAS National Shotgun Coach Development Staff

Please note that classes, which are limited to between 25 attendees, fill up very quickly.  Due to high demand for spots, FULL NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENT IS REQUIRED TO HOLD A SPOT.
